OM SCANBOX PRODUCTION

In 2022, Scanbox Entertainment was acquired by Vuelta Studio with the ambition to strengthen and expand the production of feature films and TV series. As part of this vision, Scanbox Production has upgraded its team and organizational structure.
The Danish/Nordic production team consists of four producers – Rikke Lassen, Lina Flint, Birgitte Skov, and Bylgia Aegisdottir – alongside in-house writer Jan Trygve Røyneland. The company is led by CEO Thor Sigurjonsson, with Lone Korslund as Creative Director / Executive Producer and Chris Sanger as Head of Business Affairs. The team is further supported by a producer’s assistant and an intern, as well as a strong accounting department headed by Lise Krogsgaard, with Mette Hyllested as Accounting Assistant.Our vision is to produce both high-end arthouse films for a broad international audience and high-quality mainstream films and series. We are developing a strong slate of projects based on original stories and IPs, in collaboration with acclaimed Nordic creative talents.
With production in both Denmark and Iceland (Zik Zak Filmworks), Scanbox Production has a clear ambition to expand its Nordic collaborations through partnerships for the development and co-production of films and series across the region.
As part of Vuelta Studio, we are embedded in a group of leading European production and distribution companies that share the same ambition: to develop, finance, produce, and distribute distinctive and high-quality entertainment. Vuelta’s members all have a strong track record in the European film industry.
Today, the group includes Scanbox Entertainment, Germany’s SquareOne and Telepool, France’s Playtime and Pan, Italy’s Indiana, and most recently Benelux distributor WW Entertainment. With more initiatives and partners joining, Vuelta Studio continues to grow. Together, the group covers the entire value chain – from talent management, financing, and production to distribution and international sales.
